Master "Hud" is breaking a board with a jumping front rising kick held by one of his student's at the height of 9'6" in 1974.
.The old picture of his first full time dojang he opened in the New
Westminster area of B.C. in the early 70's.
The past Master "Hud" has shown his skill in the art, and science of breaking a large stack of cement tile with a downward knife-hand strike, a hand held cement tiles brake with a knife-hand strike, and also how to control a full force strike on a stack of slab cement upon Master "Hud"s stomach, and a red belt member braking the slabs with a full force downward blow with a sludge hammer.
Master "Hud" is demonstrating his skill in Chi(Ki) with the control of a full force strike of a board being broken across his inner forearm, afterwards there was no sign of any mark, and or injury to his forearm from the force of blow of this board. This was a demonstration for the late "Terry Fox". There is a stack of clay cement tiles in the picture that Master "Hud" broke with a downward knife hand strike later.
Master "Hud" is doing a break with Five - 1 inch boards with a side-kick technique.
Master "Hud" is demonstrating the art of Korean kicking with his skills in the control of a kick, by kicking an apple off the head of a student, and using a reverse spinning heal kick by kicking an apple off the stem held by the teeth of a student.
Master "Hud" has shown his skill in the art of live sword cutting in the art of Han-kuk Gumdo(The way of The Korean Swordsmanship) with cuts on the throat, hand, between the legs, and a a blind fold cut on the stomach, cutting cucumbers on a student in public for many years in the past, and continues to do so even today, and passing this art onto his wife, Dosa Sabum-nim "Kum".
Master "Hud" is demonstrating the art, and science of pressure point control techniques using no strength at all, but controlling the opponent's mind with pain through the use of a pressure point techniques, and take downs within the art of Hwa Rang Mul Sul, also with the use of an ordinary walking cane to control an attacker.
Master "Hud" is teaching a seminar to high level Black Belts in the art, science, and theory of Korean stretching for the art of power kicking, plus advance punching techniques called a "snake punch" within Hwa Rang Mul Sul.
Master "Hud's" 3 day week-end Hwa Rang Warrior's Summer Camps in the 90's, teaching the Korean art of stick fighting called "Bong"; Dan Bong(Short staff), Jung Bong(Middle staff), Jang Bong(Long staff), and other aspects of Hwa Rang Mul Sul to many students from different dojangs, and dojos from all over B.C..
Master "Hud" doing bodyguard service for the World Heavy Weight Karate Champion, and Movie star "Joe Lewis", and his wife, while he was in Vancouver doing some film productions, and seminars around the area. Master "Hud" has been a professional bodyguard since 1984.
Master "Pruim" is a Master - 5th Degree Black Belt Japanese Shotokan Karate, and a high level Master in the art of Japanese martial art weaponry, and a Yee Dan - 2nd Dan Black Belt in Hwa Rang Mul Sul under Master "Hud". Master "Pruim", and Sensei "Jason" a 3rd Degree Black Belt Japanese Shotokan Karate under Master "Pruim", both of them came down from Canada to put on an excellent display of the Japanese art of weapons called "Naginata", during Master "Hud's" open house on the first night of the opening of Master "Hud's" dojang of The Korean Hwarang Martial Arts Federation® in Everett, Wa.
Master "Hud" also displayed his skills in the art of Han-kuk Gumdo(Way of the Korean Sword) with a few cuts of the cucumber on the hand of a student, and other cutting techniques. Master "Hud" displayed the art of pressure point throw take-downs within Hwa Rang Mul Sul.
