Dosa-nim 'Einar' began his first martial arts training during 1973 under a traditional Japanese style of Goju-Ryu under Sensei 'Uchiage'. He has extensively studied, and trained in Japan, and obtained his 1st Degree Black Belt in 1978 where he was tested by Shihan 'Ujita', and Dosa-nim Einar also represented Canada in competition in Japan.
Dosa-nim 'Einar' is certified as a 5th Degree Black Belt under the Japanese Goju-Ryu system from Japan, and is designated, and earned the title of "Shihan".
In 1985, Dosa-nim 'Einar' began his extensive training in the Hwarang system under Head Master 'Hud' were he obtained his black belt dans training, and studying extensively under Head Master 'Hud' for over 12 years in Hwarang, and now has become the third in command of The Korean Hwarang Martial Arts Federation® as a Sam Dan - 3rd Dan Black Belt, certified as a Dosa Sabum-nim(Master Teacher) under Head Master 'Hud', and Dosa-nim 'Kum' in Hwa Rang Mul Sul.
Dosa-nim 'Einar' recalls his early days, he says he was searching for a warrior's arts when he was fortunate to walk into a dojang during the 80's, and was introduced to his mentor, and teacher Head Master 'Hud', the founder of Hwa Rang Mul Sul system. Head Master 'Hud; has been tutoring me in the inner aspects of the secret techniques, and weapons of the Hwarang Warrior Knights art of Sul-sa(Knights of the Night) training with segments taught to me with the aspects that it was for life, or death survival tactics, and techniques under extreme conditions.
Dosa-nim 'Einar' states that, "Hwa Rang Mul Sul is a highly scientific, technical, and extremely offensive balanced martial arts system for combat fighting under extreme conditions for the streets that incorporates extreme physical, and mental techniques, tactics, philosophy, academics, and the scientific healing arts of the Hwarang. Training included scientific tactics, and techniques in hand, foot, and weapons plus learning aspects of living off the land in extreme conditions, using the terrain with camouflage, and concealment techniques. He also learned how to use of knifes, swords, and other cutting weapons for combat, along with the physical training came the mental toughing process teaching him to be calm under extreme combative situations, and to excel in areas where others would have great difficulty, and fail. He states, " I finally found a martial arts system that combines all the necessary tactics, and techniques scientifically, and realistically to train a modern day warrior to survive all extreme situations through physical, and mental aspects of training a warrior".
Dosa-nim 'Einar' is the President of a private security firm that works Internationally, and domestically mitigating high risk operations for Worldwide clients. The company operates in some of the World's worst hot spots, and provides security, and safety for all clients. Dosa-nim 'Einar' travels the World training, and teaching police, military, and private organizations in the many aspects of the Hwarang tactics, and techniques under the banner of The Korean Hwarang Martial Arts Federation®, and Head Master 'Hud'.
Dosa-nim 'Einar' has obtained his Queens Commission as a Captain, and retired from the Canadian Military after 12 years service. He has been designated as a Master Use of Force & Combative instructor, and Police Firearms instructor. He has used his skills, and experience in the design, delivery, management, and mission focus roles.
Dosa-nim 'Einar' is currently setting up a Hwarang dojang to teach Hwa Rang Mul Sul exclusively to law enforcement, and military personnel in Canada under the banner of The Korean Hwarang Martial Arts Federation®, and Head Master 'Hud'.
